TOP 3 REASONS A VACATION RENTAL IS BETTER THAN A HOTEL…

With so many options for hotels and vacation rentals, which do you decide for your weekend getaway or your family vacation? Here is our top 3 reasons why we prefer a vacation rental over a hotel.

  1. You get all the comforts of your home while you’re away. While this one seems obvious, there are a lot of home amenities that we either take for granted or that would come in very handy while we’re on vacation. Full size appliances are a big one. The ability to fill a refrigerator full of food and beverage, do a load of laundry, cook in a real kitchen, or even barbecue are great perks that are simply not available in the hotel experience. This can be a big money saver as well especially if you are traveling with a larger group. The ability to cook your own meals will drastically cut down on your food and drink bill and will be easier on your schedule as not every meal needs to be as planned out with a reservation or all agreeing on the same restaurant.

  2. The second reason is privacy and space. The added privacy at a vacation rental vs a hotel is night and day. You don’t have to deal with maids knocking on your door, crowded elevators, noisy neighbors, valet, or lines at check in and check out. In addition, the added space of a home for you and your family is much more comfortable. Nobody wants to sit in a small hotel room with 2 queen beds and 1 bathroom. Renting a home allows you the extra room for everyone to get ready or to spread out and relax.

  3. Equally as important is the location. There are so many more options for vacation rentals that you can really zero in on exactly where you want to be. You can choose a place right on your favorite beach, or next to your favorite ski resort. If you have multiple families you can rent on the same street, there are just so many more possibilities. An often overlooked benefit is if you find a place you really love, you can always come back and stay in the exact same place and double down on that great vacation!

Whether you choose your favorite hotel or a vacation rental for your trip, be sure to weigh all the pros and cons of each to make sure you book the best trip possible for you and your family.
